Pavorotto K.A. ~ Region 12 Champion Stallion, May 2019
By Kristi Hopp
History in the making happened last night at the Region 12 Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Show. Never before in the 41 years of the Region 12 show has one stallion won the prestigious title of Champion Arabian Stallion 3 times and even with 3 different professional handlers. This very special stallion to accomplish these accolades is non other than Pavorotto K.A.
The first time was back in 2015 with Fernando Poli on the lead, then the following year with Rohara's own John Rannenberg and then with Les Sichini.
Pavorotto grew up in the pastures of Belgium at Knocke Arabians. He is a stunning grey son of the power breeding stallion QR Marc. Pavorotto's dam line represents some of the best Polish blood, his dam is a direct daughter of Ekstern and has lines to both Eukaliptus and Probat. Pavorotto caught the eye of long-time breeder Roxann Hart, who exported him and his new home became the legendary Rohara Arabians.
There is no doubt about Pavorotto's exceptional beauty, type, and overall quality. But what also sets him apart from others is his athleticism and trainable mind. A testament to that is Pavorotto has also competed successfully in the Country Pleasure Driving division, even winning the honor of Reserve Champion in 2017 at Region 12 with his trainer John Rannenberg.
